Ello, New York!

12 September 2011

These photos were basically taken the second I got off of the train ! So
please excuse me if I look a bit sleepy. Anyways, I found the first photo to be very appropriate
because I was so ecstatic to have just arrived to NYFW!

Basically the whole four days I was there was go,go,go but I really loved it that way. Between running to events and parties, there was seldom moments of rest, aka the reason why I didn't have time to blog and why over the next few weeks my posts will be showered with my adventures in NYC. I hung out with some really amazing bloggers from all over the world that
I have admired for ages, and also some new faces that I can now call my friends! Even partied
with the Facehunter, which was pretty insane! And for all of these adventures I had my dear
friends Dylana, Natalie, and Claire. Seriously you can't go wrong in the city with amazing friends
like them!

Below are a few instas from the trip, but throughout the week I will be posting even more
photos of my adventures. To see more, follow me on Instagrid, or find me on Instagram.
My username is 'Bonniecakes' . Hope you all have a lovely week!

A Very Happy Birthday

11 September 2011

This post is dedicated to a very special person in my life. Today is my boyfriend Ryan's23rd birthday! I am beyond excited that yet another year has gone by and that it is the third birthday since we have been together. Unfortunately it is our first apart now thatI am living on the East Coast. I was rummaging through old photos on the bus back toPhilly from NYC and picked these favorite to share with you all. I am so lucky to have this wonderful boy in my life and not a day goes by that I am not thankful for him. So Happy Birthday, Ryan!

PS- lots and lots of photos from NYFW to come this week.

Labor Day Weekend

08 September 2011

This outfit was taken from this past weekend, aka one of my favorite
weekends ever in Philly. It was super chill yet a kind of jam packed at the
same time. Highlights include seeing Justin Townes Earl and
Dr. Dog for free by the Delaware River, french fries with curry ketchup,
gallery openings, and sleepovers! I definitely was in a mood to dress for comfort,
which was fitting because I am pretty sure I walked about a hundred miles in the
city over the course of the weekend.

Anyways, I had a minor change in plans but will now be going to NYC today
and my bus leaves only in a few short hours! So I must get going quickly. Hopefully
I will see some of you this weekend! Of course when I get back on Monday I will
be thoroughly blogging about all my adventures, but until then you can find me on
tweeting away.

Easy Breezy

06 September 2011

Lately on any that is slightly breezy, I am tempted to pull out my fall stash for layering.this cargo jacket is the perfect thing to throw on when you are on the go. It adds just the right amount of 'tough' to any outfit, and is a reliable favorite of mine. Thisvintage dress is another one of my favs. Dots + florals make me a happy girl. Anyways I am in a frenzy right now trying to pack for NYFW right now! I am catching the bus straight after work tonight so I am feeling a bit frantic and hoping everything runs smoothly. First up in New York is the Lucky magazine FABB conference! Some really amazing speakers like DVF and Rebecca Minkoff will be speaking and I couldn't be couldn't be more excited. Anyone else attending please let me know!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and yay that fashion week is almost here!

Rainy Summer Day

03 September 2011

These photos were surprisingly taken in the drizzling rain on a lazy day a few weeks ago.
After a super long week, I spent the day just relaxing with friends walking around Philly
and enjoying the beauty of the city in the rain. I just wanted to be as comfortable as possible
so I threw on this amazing cardigan and felt totally carefree. I love the lace detail and especially
the flowy fringe trim.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend! I will be resting and relaxing in preparation
of NYFW! I can't believe I am actually saying that.
