Grey Day in Central Park

Taken on what was possibly one of the last coat days in NYC, yesterday morning was a cold and grey one. The sun came out to play in the afternoon, but it was still chilly indeed! I was able to pull out this jacket that I wanted to get a few more wears in before it starts to get too warm. I just love earth tones like this, they can go with just about anything. Anyways, yesterday was a fabulous day! In the morning Ryan and I got to meet up with my lovely Norwegian friend Matilde, where we walked around central park and even got to see the John Lennon memorial. Later Ryan and I headed over to the West Village for pizza and beer, and then Greenwich for record/vintage shopping. Walked around so much that I thought my feet were going to fall off by night, but that's how I like it! Today we will head over to Brooklyn to meet up with some friends. Oh how I love having my boy in town!

Sunday's Scores

My goal is on the way to being complete! What goal you ask? ... To acquire denim in all colors of the rainbow this spring. Oh and on that list of course includes floral denim of any kind. This weekend I scored the pastel pink and mint green pairs from Zara, while the other ones are from Urban and Citizens of Humanity. Throw on a simple blouse and fun accessories with any of these jeans and you have yourself an outfit.

Uptown girl

This photo was taken on what definitely was one of the warmest days I have experienced so far in NYC. On days like this I go for comfort- a billowy blouse, skinnies and oxfords. I always feel that accessories are key in such a simple outfit, so I threw on some bracelets and my favorite hat (also worn here). I hung around the Upper East Side with Natalie and Claire and tried Shake Shack for the first time! I got a vanilla shake and it was pretty much to die for.

Anyways, I am going to keep this post short and sweet because today Ryan arrives in town! Pretty much bursting with excitement right now!

Coral

As a fan of the unique little details in clothing, I am of course automatically drawn to
rosettes. This skirt is such a fun alternative to the plain old black skirt. I paired it with
this coral blouse to add a bit of color to an otherwise monochrome outfit. Just a casual
look that I pranced around the city in during this beautiful weather we have been having.
Anyways, in other news my boyfriend Ryan is coming to visit me in NYC for an entire week!
He arrives on Saturday and I couldn't be more happy. Can't wait to explore this city with my
love!
