NYFW Diary Part I

Well the NYFW festivities have been constant all week, but now that it has officially started, everything is in full swing. Not a dull moment to be had, and not a coffee opportunity missed (as pictured above). So much is going on here in NYC, and I just love the positive energy the city has during this time. Plus all my favorite bloggers from all around the world are here which make things all that much better. Yesterday I hit up the Lauren Moffatt presentation which was an absolute treat. I was in complete admiration of all the playful prints and retro silhouettes. Right up my alley! I wore this vintage floral dress with my favorite denim moto jacket and new Jett boots for a casual look. These boots were designed by my lovely friends Natalie and Dylana Suarez for  Modern Vice. Seriously the coolest and comfiest boots I own.

Beauty // Paul Mitchell Curls Confession

Taming these wild waves atop my head can often be a challenge for me, especially in the New York humidity. With the frizzy nature of my hair, it is practically impossible to get the effect I want without some product. With that being said, I was super excited about  Paul Mitchell's campaign, rightfully named Curls Confession. The brand will be launching these new products for us wavy/curly-headed gals. So far I have tried the products pictured  above,  and am particularly obsessed with the leave-in treatment, which is guaranteed to knock out that annoying frizz and the Twirl Around, which keeps the curls defined throughout the day. 

What is most exciting about this campaign though is that Paul Mitchell is giving readers the opportunity to win free products through their Facebook page. Outfit // Back in NYC

I'm back in New York City! I had an amazing time away on vacation, but dang it feels good to be back. And of course I made it back just in time for the NYFW madness to begin. I plan on having a daily diary covering all the shows and happenings around the city to keep you all who are not in the city up to date. It's an exciting time and definitely something you can experience from anywhere. Anyways, if it isn't apparent I am a bit obsessed with overalls right now. Once I find a look I love it tends to be repeated, but hey I can't help what feels natural!

Inspiration: Sweater Weather

Now that it is September I think it is officially acceptable to start dreaming of sweater

weather. This will be my first fall in New York and I can already see it being nothing short

of magical.

 

Outfit // Like A Boy

Happy Saturday folks! What better to wear on the weekend than overalls? I thrifted this lovely dress in Dallas (along with many, many other treasures) and have been living in it since. Adds the perfect boy-ish touch to an otherwise super girly outfit. I think I'll try and collect more of these babies. Anyways, today I am actually headed back to NYC, hooray! I will miss my lovely home in Texas so much, but it will be good to be back. It's funny having two places I associate with as home. Makes coming and going just that much easier.
