Outfit // Stripes + Overalls

Current obsession? Without a doubt, OVERALLS! Yes it is true, I cannot get enough of these guys and plan on collecting them in multiple colors and fabrics. Corduroy, denim, even velvet... I am just smitten. I have stumbled upon a few good pairs at thrift stores that just need a bit of hemming. My absolute favorite pairings with overalls are stripes or polka dots. I just love that classic combination. This striped top in particular is a a new favorite, by Lauren Moffatt. I cannot get over the mod vibes it gives off. Could've sworn it was vintage 60's when I saw it!

Anyway, enough rambling from me... It is a few days into October and I couldn't be happier that is is my favorite time of year. Possibly that is what's making me so excited about something like overalls... Hope you all are having a great day!

Outfit // City Wanderer

These photos were taken literally right in the middle of Manhattan. One thing I love about this area is the mesmerizing city lights. The energy is absolutely abundant here and somehow I find comfort in the crowds of people going about their day. I am typically only in this area when I am going somewhere for work, but on this particular day I met Justin on a Sunday where we just aimlessly wandered around. I am much more partial to seeing it in those carefree eyes rather than when I am in a hectic state. Anyway, about my outfit. I have been obsessed with this army green parka. It is the perfect layering piece and toughens up some of my ultra girly outfits. I am always looking for a balance of hard and soft and this piece has definitely become a go-to.

Video // Morning Routines

Here is a little look into a typical morning of Christina and I in our NYC apartment. Of course some mornings are a bit more hectic, but days like this when we can take out time are my absolute favorite. Here Christina is about to head off for a trip to Amsterdam as I am getting ready for a day of appointments in the city. Lounging around our computers while we blog and chatting about last night's parties or todays adventures to come is a wonderful way to start the day. I absolutely love living with this girl and having  another closet to rummage through is just a perk. Even though we have completely different styles, Christina and I always end up finding a piece that compliments both of our wardrobes... like how I am obsessed with her lacey black dress or how she has grown attached to my floral headpieces. We are always having fun in the apartment and everyday is a party. 

Anyways, this video roughly shows a bit of my daily morning routine. Of course I always apply a cat eye, red lip, and loose waves. Pretty easy if you ask me. I rarely spend more than 15 minutes getting ready and basically have my regimen down to a science. Lately I have been using Paul Mitchell's beach waves for a tousled, almost messy look. The longer my hair grows the more laid-back I become about styling it. Lucky for me Paul Mitchell has me covered for this simple look.
