Outfit // Classic Stripes

22 October 2012

I wore this outfit on one of those days where I really just wanted to keep my outfit simple. I chose one of my favorite classics, stripes, and paired with with some basic skinnies and a peacoat. When wearing such a simple outfit like this, I like to play it up with some bold accessories. So here I chose this adorable Oxblood backpack by Pour La Victoire and staple lace-up boots by Vintage Shoe Company to spotlight. Easy, breezy while still staying chic.

Anyway, I have a little question to ask you all. What would you like to see more of on this blog? Is it outfit posts? DIY? Peeks into my adventures around NYC? Fashion advice? Playlists? Inspiration posts? I have been writing this blog for almost 4 years now (crazy, I know) and I would like to continue to expand it as the years go by.  So won't you take a moment and let me know? I would love to hear what you have to say.

Have a lovely Monday!

Lately

21 October 2012

1.) Brightening up my days with Bodega flowers. One of my favorite thing about New York City streets.
2.) Getting these kitty cat hangers, making clothing much more fun.
3.) Drinking way too much coffee at Saturday's Surf with Christina
4.) Sitting at the triangle park (don't know if it's called that, but I certainly call it that) on Lafayette Street in SoHo.
5.) Feeling cozy in my fall-inspired sweater and drinking coffee out of mugs the size of my face.
6.) Taking interior inspiration from this room.
7.) Hanging out with this babe all around town, laughing our heads off usually.
8.) Discovering new bakery's... admiring this one in particular in the East Village called Black Hound.
9.) Indulging in cookies from a sweet goodie basket that Cooper Avenue (a hot spot for gourmet food in Miami) sent me.
10.) Going to this bar in Williamsburg called Lucky Dog, where everyone brings their adorable pups to  hang on the patio. This little cutie pie's name is Charlie.

Outfit // Girl in the red coat

19 October 2012

It has been quite sometime since I have owned a pair of tall boots, and I must say... I am really loving this style! The past few seasons have been all about the statement ankle boot, however I love this exiting refresh. I wore these Hunter Boots with some thigh highs... a perfect pairing for the Fall to Winter transition. Stayed quite warm between appointments around the city all day. I also borrowed this red Paul & Joe coat from Christina ( a perk of having a stylish roomie) and completely convinced myself that I need to own one similar. There is something so classic about a red coat... next thing on my wish list!

Anyways, I hope you all have a fantastic Friday! Also a little thanks for all your sweet comments this week. Been loving all the feedback and sweet words about my recent posts. Love you all to pieces!

NYC Farmers Market

18 October 2012

The farmers market at Union Square in New York City in the fall is nothing short of magical. Pumpkins, squash, hand-spun yarn, fresh honey, homemade apple cider, jams of all flavors, and basically everything you could dream of to have in your kitchen during these months. I wandered around with Justin and Christina, basically stopping at every single booth. I could have stayed there for hours. Choosing locally grown produce is something that is quite important to me, so I have been trying to make it a routine to stop by the farmers market every Saturday. No need to eat veggies transported all the way from California when you have fresh goodness grown right in your state.

Wherever you live in the country, I totally recommend stopping by your local market, especially in October! The fall goods are just too great to pass up.

Outfit // Cozy Sweater Love

17 October 2012

It is quite possible that I jumped the gun and brought the holiday inspired sweater out a bit early... but hey, who says snowflakes and moose sweaters can't come out to play in October? It has been chilly enough in New York these days that a cozy sweater like this is exactly what I need. Also I decided to revive my Fall wardrobe with a refreshing touch of color. Lately my outfits have been of muted tones (which I do love as well) , but here I couldn't help but pull out these bright red loafers and sunny yellow satchel bag.

Hope you all are having a lovely week so far!
