Lately

Lately I have been... 

1.) Spending mornings with Eleanor and Christina, one of which always being extremely mischievous.
2.) Discovering the Christmas market at Union Square and just how magical (and crowded) it is.
3.) Accidentally wearing matching outfit with Christina and taking walks around our neighborhood.
4.) Indulging in gourmet pretzels... so good!
5.) Sipping on coffees to keep my hands warm in the increasingly cold NYC weather.
6.) Making apple pies with a Christmas twist, recipe to come.
7.) Admiring the beautiful leaves before the trees are left bear in winters presence. 
8.) Enjoying beautiful parks with this guy, one of our favorite things to do.
9.) Browsing records at Bleecker Bob's in Greenwich village. The selection is incredible!
10.) Making a cove of blankets on my balcony and keeping cozy with a warm coffee.

Things have been getting more and more busy for me these days, however I still always take time to stop and enjoy the small stuff. Hope you all had a wonderful week as well!

Forest Green

Did I trick you?! By the looks of these first few photos you might be thinking that I cut my hair. But alas, I am too much of a chicken to chop off my long locks. I will admit though, I have been toying with the idea of a cute 50's inspired bob. Thoughts? I have had the same hairstyle for nearly 4 years now, so you can't blame a girl for wanting a change. But anyway, your opinions are welcome! 

And about the outfit: I have been obsessing with forest green this fall. Finally, I got this cardigan to satisfy my fix. I paired it with this caramel brown satchel from Earnest Alexander which has been my go to carry-all these days. The bag is waxed canvas which gives it such a cool texture - almost like suede. Love this unique bag.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A very Happy Thanksgiving from me to you! I really do have so much to be thankful for this year and a lot of that I owe to all of you, my amazing readers. To those celebrating, I hope you eat lots of turkey and pie and spend the day with loved ones. I was not able to go home to Texas this year and miss my family so much, however I am fortunate enough to spend it with my dear friends in New York. Us young 20 somethin's even made a turkey. I of course was in charge of pies. Aside from a bit of burnt crust, I think they all turned out all right.

Leaves Falling

The leaves in my neighborhood are starting fall. And while they are completely beautiful in shades of yellow, orange and red, it is bittersweet because I know the trees will be bare shortly. Anyway, it's the day before Thanksgiving and my to-do list is growing as I type this so I must keep this short post and get to work.
