Floral Sunnies DIY

So lately I have been seeing adorable sunnies with tiny little flower embellishments, so of course the first thing that clicked in my head was DIY time! I mean this is such an easy DIY it hardly needs a tutorial, but useful information I can give you is where I got these precious teeny-tiny flowers. I simply ordered them from this etsy shop, Blissful silks, (the same way I make my floral crowns), and chose florals that were 1-2cm so that they could fit on sunglasses. I simply used a dab hot glue and arranged them the way I wanted on my sunnies. Super simple right?

With spring around the corner (sort of), I couldn't resist getting a head start on bright accessories. Hope you all enjoy!

Flower Child in the city

Oh me, Oh my. I must apologize for my extensive absence last week. Did I just say week? Yep, it's been that long since I updated last... possibly the longest break I have taken since this blog started. I hate to leave you all in the dark for so long, and I don't want to start with the excuses, but for those who are curious, life has been quite insane these days! I am going through some exciting changes  and sometimes it's hard to keep up with it all. Anyway, about the outfit. I have gone a bit DIY floral crown crazy and just may have ordered fifty dollars worth of flowers to feed my crafting addiction. But spring will sneak up on us before we know it, so why not stock up on my collection? If you haven't seen my tutorial, check it out here.

Goodbye 2012

A very happy, happy New Years to you all! To officially ring in 2013, I felt it necessary to re-cap some of my absolute favorite outfits/times from 2012. Not even exaggerating, this has been one of the best and most rewarding years of my entire life. I ventured away from home and everything I am familiar with to move to New York City. Ever since then my life has been such an adventure. My life-long dream of living in this crazy city finally came true and along the way I have taken chances, experienced life with eyes wide open and met amazing humans that I can now call my best friends. With that being said, I have to thank each and every one of you for being such an amazing support system this year. Whether you have been with me since the beginning as an awkward sophmore in college, or have just stopped by a few times, I appreciate each and everyone of you more than you will ever know! Thank you so much for a great year, and I can't wait to see how our relationship grows in 2013. 

To start off the new year, always remember: Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
