I totallyyy love this song by Those Darlins and for some reason this look really reminded me of it. This dress is so flowy and free, I just want to twirl around and dance when I wear it. Particularly to this song that kind of/totally embodies me. Since I've been in Texas my free spirit has really been coming out with trips to the woods/lake/planning road trips/dancing until the wee hours of the night with friends. The adventures have been plenty! Anyway, I paired this Free People dress with two of my favorite new pieces from DailyLook! This jacket + leather bucket bag. The denim is perfect for transitioning into spring, and this bag is the perfect carry-all, especially for festival season! First up on my list is SXSW. Anyone else going?!

Life's Little Moments

I try to update this blog as much as possible, but for those little moments + outfits in between, I am always updating my instagram. Pretty in Pink

Believe it or not, these photos were taken in Texas! It's been snowy/icy here nonstop. Yesterday when I shot this look was the first day of sunshine I had seen in nearly two weeks! So happy next week is supposed to be all sunshine and weather in the 70's. I am realizing how much I talk about weather in relation to clothing on this blog... that really needs to stop, haha. Anyway I've been meaning to share this cute lil dress with you all for a while. I am a sucker for blouses/dresses with a matching collar and cuff... especially in velvet! Also I have been in search of the perfect black boater hat and this one by Lack of Color totally fits the bill. I get so many compliments on it! I'm so picky when it comes to hats and really love the quality of their hats. Plus the pricing is totally reasonable for how well-made the hats are!

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Goodness, it has been so rainy and gloomy these days. You would think it was the dead of February, not the days leading into spring. Anyway, I decided to take this opportunity to wear some of my favorite warm winter-inspired tones. I love pairing red + pink, I don't care if that's a fashion 'don't', I've always loved it! So I pulled out one of my favorite vintage blouses and paired it with this mohair cardigan and of course another winter fav, plaid. The days of wearing wool plaid are almost over, so I intend to rock it as much as I can until then!

Spring Beauty Favorites: tarte Cosmetics

As many of you know, I am quite set in my makeup routine and am certainly no beauty guru. Red lip, cateye, peachy blush and I’m good to go. This spring though I am really excited to try out some new color palettes, starting with one of my favorite cosmetic lines, tarte ! So I wanted to share with you 8 of my top favorites from the line.

It’s been ages since I have put any shade of pink on these lips, but this season I am pumped to try it out. Change is good right? I am obsessed with tarte’s lip tint colors in Charmed (light pink), Enchanted (magenta),  and Joy (peach). I can see myself wearing all of these on a breezy spring day. Another favorite tarte product I love is their full coverage foundation. I am terrible at re-applying throughout the day, however their foundation keeps me in check all day without the hassle of worrying about touch-ups… pretty perfect for anyone on the go if you ask me. For spring I am also stoked on rose and dusty pink blush. Lately I have been sticking to a dash of bronzer, however I am so looking forward to rocking these bright and cheery tones! As far as mascara goes, I have been obsessed with tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes mascara. I hardly ever wear fake lashes, as much as I want to, I just never seem to apply it correctly! This mascara however does the trick. Basically fake lashes in a tube, haha. And lastly the tarte product I am obsessing over the most is their precision eyeliner. One thing that I do not see changing in my makeup routine anytime soon is of course, the cat eye. I can’t help it, I have become so accustomed to it, I almost feel naked without one! This liner is great for getting that perfect winged tip.
