Pretty little ladies

23 April 2009

I am constantly in awe of the beauty and style of Audrey Hepburn and Faye Dunaway. I watched one of my favorite films "Funny Face" today, and was reminded of just how much classic styles inspire my wardrobe. As much as I love experimenting with new fashions, I will always naturally be inspired by ladies like these two.

Also, due to a few indecent comments by anonymous cowards on my recent entries, I just want to say that I did not make this blog to try and be some kind of beauty queen or to show off how much money I can spend on clothing. This blog was made as a medium to convey to the world my taste in fashion and my interpretation of style. I am a college student paying for everything on my own. It is impractical spend large amounts of money on clothing, when I could be spending money on bettering my education and my future. If you have a problem with this or my appearance, then this is simply not the blog for you.

great post lovely - classic style will always stand the test of time..

i can't believe people are being nasty to you! that's an absolute joke. you are clearly a sweetheart + you take the time to share your inspiration, style + a snapshot of your life with us. I'm sure you know how many people appreciate you! It sucks that there are nasties to make things that little bit sour. GRR!

i can't believe that mean commenter! if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all, right?! and why do they CARE so much?! sorry that is happening to you! don't take it personally!

Audrey Hepburn is my muse for sure. I'm sorry you had such a negative experience but just think of all the other people that enjoy your posts and have amazing respect for you. Some people are just insecure... ie. the people that post nasty things.

don't worry! the anonymous writers are always crafty but not brave enough to write their names. it's soooo stupid. so, they envy you the blog, clothes and etc. kisses!

Don't worry about that type of comments, instead be glad: they're called trolls and have no other intention than to upset, they don't mean what they say. And if you've got some, that's because your blog is popular enough for them to find it!

Wow - this post was totally inspiring! You're fabulous.

Audrey Hepburn is definitely an inspiring lady. That woman had more backbone than most of the stars in hollywood today put together.

Ugh, people like that annoy me no end. What angers me even more is that they had to post it as "anonymous". a bunch of rotten raisins. you are a lovely girl and inspire people so much.

thank you for adding me to you list! I've added you already :)

Lovely, lovely photos!

Anonymous commenters are so ridiculous. They must be very jealous and lonely to lash out like that! I don't really get it.

ah, funny face - such a great movie! my plan is to opt for audrey's look this summer!

and don't let those anonymous comments get to you. they're just hopelessly miserable and haven't got anything better to do with their time.

Timeless! And what the heck, people who are uncomfortable with other people's ability to spend money need to consider that that's why a fashion industry and high class companies exist. Otherwise, what keeps the industry going??

Amelia said...

I really need to see that movie. Hmm, I've never seen a picture of Audrey with her hair down like that. I really like it.

I'm sorry you got some crappy comments. That's just what happens when you're blog gets big, I guess. You dealt with it well.

Unknown said...

i don't know why they bother....just to see themselves blogged about, i suppose, even if they are anonymous. it's silly, not even worth discussing really.

S.Elisabeth said...

RUDE to those commenters. Just ignore them; btw you do look adorable in your last post. Although I don't know if I could've worn jeans on a hot day; I think I've become so adverse to jeans in general, I'd rather not wear them in ten feet of snow over a skirt...

Ah and Audrey Hepburn, her and Brigitte Bardot are always my icons! I don't know a lot about Faye, but she is stunning.

Anonymous commenters! Blargh! Hopefully it won't get you down. It's always so much easier to criticise other people's creative outlets rather than be brave enough to put your own stuff out there. Remenmber that!

Noshabelle said...

Timeless! Love Audrey Hepburn! I can't get enough of her..
Keep up the good work, sweety! x

Gorgeous ladies and great post.

Forget about anonymous cowards, they use to appear when they're jealous, so that means you're doing a good work.
Keep it.
