Goodbye 2013, Oh How Lovely You Were

I do not think 2013 would be quite complete without taking time to reflect on the years past. My oh my, has it been a beautiful one. As any year does, it has had its ups and downs, but in this very moment I would like to take time to think about all the wonderful things that have happened. Let's take a look back... I moved to my dream apartment in my dream neighborhood in NYC, the East Village, my relationships grew stronger with my friends I have met in the city to practically being able to call them family, I got better an keeping in touch with my family/childhood friends, I visited multiple places in the world that I never even expected I would have the opportunity to see, when I was least expecting it I found love, I finally got to have my own cat, had my own spread in a magazine for the very first time, and most of all my adventures have allowed me to continue this blog and bring you all along with me.

I am going on my fifth year of blogging and I cannot express how thankful I am for you all for your continuous support every single day. I am going to get a little sappy, but I started this blog having no idea where it would take me. From Texas, to Arkansas, to London, to Philadelphia, back to Texas, and then finally New York, this blog has almost become a little personal diary of a girl growing up from a teen to a woman in her mid twenties. I can't wait to continue sharing my life with you all in the new year. Before I move on though, I wanted to re-cap a few of my favorite outfits from 2013.... so here we go! 

All in all, it has been a great one my friends. I have so much to be thankful for... sometimes I need to take a moment like this to sit back and remind myself how fortunate I am. With that being said, I am welcoming 2014 with open arms.

Good Ole Blue Jeans

So we all know that I am a dress lover through-and-through... however recently that I have stumbled upon Abercombie's high-waisted super skinny style, I just can't get enough of rocking the classic blue jeans look. Just like Lana's song... blue jeans, white shirt, this has now become one of my go-to looks. Anyway, for a limited of time, this style and others are offered on sale for only $39 online here! There are a ton of varieties...  every wash you can imagine, different waistlines if you aren't into the super high rise like me, and styles that suit any and all body types and obviously quality for a great price. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume

Oh Daisy. I have been a lover of this fragrance by Marc Jacobs since I was first gifted it by my mother in high school. There was always something about wearing this scent... I instantly felt elegant and confident after a spritz of Daisy. Still today as an adult I am in love with the sophisticated scent. As the holidays quickly approach, Marc Jacobs Daisy is certainly on my gift-giving list.

Those Quiet Mornings

This past weekend I had the pleasure of going to Christina's home in Long Island for her families annual holiday party. It was such a wonderful break from the city. As much as I love NYC, sometimes you just gotta get out. She lives right by the bay, so in the morning us gals went to the water with coffees in hand and just enjoyed the quiet morning. Reindeer Love

As I said in my last post, I am certainly making the effort to pull out all my holiday pieces before the season is over! I cannot help it, I have an addiction to Christmas sweaters/Christmas anything, really.

All Bundled

Oh boy is it getting quite cold here in NYC. It is much easier to ignore the biting cold however, since the city is decked out in holiday happiness. Every corner you turn, there are twinkly lights, or if you are lucky Christmas tree-lined streets with that wonderful pine smell. I am rocking all my holiday-inspired wardrobe while I can, like this reindeer scarf... so obsessed!

Oh I am addicted. Originally completely addicted to anything plaid, and newly to cozy cable knit beanies. Beanies preferably with an adorable little pom-pom on top. I just love this one from Forever 21!

Simplicity

Sometimes black, white, and blue jeans is all you really need in an outfit. I have been rocking this sweater constantly- can't get over how soft and cozy it is!
