Lately

My 'Lately' posts are back! It's been a busy December with the holidays and all, but here is what I have been up to...

1.) Hanging out with Eleanor, the usual. What can I say? I love this little lady.

2.) Prancing around in these Call It Spring flats, the fanciest flats I've ever seen.

3.) Making more floral crowns than I can count. Some may call it a  problem...

4.) Staying in on the gloomy & snowy days, curled up & cozy with a book.

5.) Cleaning out my closet before I move in February (most likely to Brooklyn), finding it to be difficult to throw things out.

6.) Finding places for all my little trinkets. Namely little glass bowls from thrift shops.

7.) Exploring the city on the bright & sunny days. Never gets old.

8.) Consuming one too many tomato soups + grilled cheeses. Probably one of my favorite food combinations.

9.) Waiting patiently for my lovely roomie to get back from Paris/Berlin. Hurry back Christina!

Lately...

Lately I have been....

1.) Still obsessing with Eleanor. The novelty of having a cat is not even close to wearing off.
2.) Checking out my favorite vintage shops in the East Village, looking for Christmas presents.
3.) Discovering the greatness of shellac manicures. Never going back to regular polish at the salon again.
4.) Drinking nutella hot chocolate non-stop.
5.) Hitting up one of my favorite cafe's in the city, The Grey Dog. Their home-made granola is the best.
6.) Walking through Washington Square park, despite the freezing weather. 
7.) Admiring holiday-inspired cakes and getting inspiration.
8.) Feeling the Christmas spirit on nearly every block. NYC really does it up for the holidays.
9.) Bundling up so much that I often feel like a little roly poly.

Lately

Lately I have been... 

1.) Spending mornings with Eleanor and Christina, one of which always being extremely mischievous.
2.) Discovering the Christmas market at Union Square and just how magical (and crowded) it is.
3.) Accidentally wearing matching outfit with Christina and taking walks around our neighborhood.
4.) Indulging in gourmet pretzels... so good!
5.) Sipping on coffees to keep my hands warm in the increasingly cold NYC weather.
6.) Making apple pies with a Christmas twist, recipe to come.
7.) Admiring the beautiful leaves before the trees are left bear in winters presence. 
8.) Enjoying beautiful parks with this guy, one of our favorite things to do.
9.) Browsing records at Bleecker Bob's in Greenwich village. The selection is incredible!
10.) Making a cove of blankets on my balcony and keeping cozy with a warm coffee.

Things have been getting more and more busy for me these days, however I still always take time to stop and enjoy the small stuff. Hope you all had a wonderful week as well!

Lately...

Lately I have been...

1.) Rocking a (very) messy bun, and remembering how convenient this hairstyle can be.

2.) Making sure this little kitty is as comfortable as can be in her new home.

3.) Finally adventuring downtown again with this dude. The aftermath of Sandy has left NYC a bit eerie, but things are slowly getting back to normal.

4.) Work, work Working. Welcome to my portable office.

5.) Practically living in this flannel shirt by AA. It is so cozy and just screams fall.

6.) Getting my macaron fix at Dean & Deluca in SoHo. Often asking myself why must I be burdened with such a strong sweet tooth.

7.) Making various forms of instant noodles. Pictured here are the noodles with a stir-fry twist.

8.) Remembering to look up... this city of ours is full of wonders in the sky!

9.) And last but not least, enjoying cinnamon-honey french toast that my boyfriend made. Did I mention he is quite the cook?
