Peachy Keen

03 July 2011

I gotta admit it... I already miss the beautiful nature that used to be the typical backdrop of
all my photos. Of course I see the beauty in the gorgeous historic neighborhood I live in
that is lined with trees and picturesque old buildings, but I sure do miss stepping out my
front yard to basically what was a beautiful forest. Must make a trip to the countryside soon
but it is so tough when I do not have a car! You have no idea how much I just want to
frolic through a field surrounded by the nothingness of wide open spaces. And if this dreamy
place was accessible to me right now I would float about and listen to this playlist I made
today:

1.) Piledriver Waltz- Alex Turner
2.) April Come She Will- Paul Simon
3.) Wherever You Go- David Dondero
4.) You Know What I Mean- Cults
5.) Calgary- Bon Iver
6.) Marathon- Tennies
7.) This is the Dream of Win & Regine- Owen Pallett
8.) Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight- The Beatles
9.) Summer Mood- Best Coast
10.) Sea of Love- Phil Phillips

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend! Going to spend the rest of mine relaxing.

PS- I think it's obvious that the spotlight of this outfit is the jewelry. Loving
anything southwestern-inspired.

I love this whole outfit! The jewelry, the skirt, the shoes, the bag--they all compliment each other so well! I have been having a hard time getting non-outdoorsy shots for a while now--maybe we could trade one day for a bit? ;-)

Have a good weekend to you too, Bonnie! You look so cute. :)

Is that skirt whale corduroy?

My favorite piece of jewelry from this outfit is probably the necklace and the turquoise bracelet though more of the necklace still hahaha xD

Have a happy 4th! And I feel you on the wide-open spaces thing. I would never be able to survive without random fields and lots of forest. <3

Thank you for the playlist! I always love finding new music! :)

I'm glad someone feels exactly the same way I do. Sure, I love NYC with all my heart, but on the other hand, I'm also sick of the metropolis. I miss seeing trees and falling asleep to the sound of crickets instead of car horns. Fortunately, I'm going camping to the Bear Mountain State Park so I'm going to take advantage of my time!

It does suck to not have a car! I didn't have one when I was living in savannah and it was awful, I felt so stuck there. But, I love all your new photos in the city :)

I grew up in a tiny little town called Elmer in South Jersey (about a half hour from here!) and lived in a little clump of woods on a dirt road surrounded by corn fields so I totally relate. I miss having tons of animals myself!
