Peachy Monday

03 January 2011

Happy Monday, all! The first Monday of the new year
has been proven to be quite a good one for me, hence
the name of this post, 'Peachy Monday'. That also refers
to my peach-toned top (hah). Anyways, I received some
exciting information about an internship today! I will share
more with you all later about this. The rest of this week
will be a very busy one. I will be working at this AMAZING
vintage boutique on wednesday, going to Philly for two
days, and then working again! With my personality though, I
strive on staying busy. Oh and other good news is my feature
in NYLON Korea with some other fabulous bloggers below!
I really wanted a copy, but they don't ship to the U.S. boo.

Oh yes, I got these shoes for Christmas and finally
received them in the mail. They really are so comfy and
I cannot wait to try out different ways of styling them. Especially
with comfy socks i the spring and summer. By the way,
I have no idea what was up with my color palette today. I
typically do not wear this many colors at once, but today
it just felt right. That is usually my logic when it comes to
wearing clothes, haha.

Well enough babbling... I hope you all have a lovely week!

i just thrifted a very similar top -- i cant wait to use this post as styling inspiration!

also, since i wasnt around to tell you -- happy (belated) holidays! i hope you had a wondeeeeerful christmas & new year's!

Anonymous said...

Hm, i can usually relate to your outfits but lately i'm reconsidering your taste level. deep red thigh high stockings and shoes that are the same color as your skin tone?? I just don't see the logic or visual appeal. A year ago your looks were so much more unique and interesting, now it seems like you post too often and scramble to make outfits that don't really make sense. I guess it all just seems less genuine. Quality supersedes quantity, always.

YOur shorts looks really good on you. Those Jeffrey Campbell is just so stylish. I love your outfit & as always you are looking lovely as ever.

Flashes of Style said...

Hi anonymous, that was not the nicest thing to hear, but it was much more useful than "you're ugly/dumb" anon comments. I try my best to be genuine, which means I cannot please everyone. This is just how I want to dress at the moment. I appreciate however that you actually gave constructive criticism, I do not mind it at all :)

This outfit is darling! Particularly love the burgundy socks and that pink blouse is beautiful against your rosey skin.

Meg! said...

Dude no, not too many colors at all! The fact that they're all part of the same pallet makes it work really well. Those socks are just... great. I love it when the socks are the boldest part of an outfit! And it looks so good here! Love your style forever and ever.
