Warm Winter

05 January 2011

Happy mid-week, everyone! My busy week is half over, but the
busiest part is just about to start. I am going to Philly tomorrow
early morning, and I could not be more excited/nervous! I
heard that it is supposed to snow there, which makes me
weary about my travels. I am still keeping positive though, and
hoping that the weather will be okay for getting there and back.
I do not have much time to explore there, but for the time
that I do, I will take all of your advice!

It has been oddly warm here this winter, so I wasn't even
slightly chilly when wearing this outfit. It is odd because
last year at this time it was almost in the negatives! Anyways,
I wasn't sure what to wear today so I chose this striped top-
no matter what, stripes can make anything stylish, I think.
I got a few vintage goodies at work that I absolutely cannot
wait to share with you all.

Well I hope you all have a lovely end to your week. I'll
update in a few days or so about Philly!

I love your hat and striped top! Very stylish and simple :)

I recently got back from D.C. and the snow there caused a bit of delays but I didn't have any problems. Plus, I got some amazing pictures of the Mall covered in snow :)

I really like the thickness of the stripes on the shirt (all the stripes I've been finding lately have been really thin) - and the hat is wonderful! Best of luck in Philly too (I'm sure it will be a great trip).

Totally adored your hat! Great way to wear it down, I somehow can't do it, feel like it has to be worn only with cocktail dresses, but you made it so beautiful!

Oooh, I love the stripes! I've never been much of a stripe girl, but I actually bought a few striped tops a few days ago and I'm totally addicted to them now!

I love the color blue, which makes me love this outfit all the more :)

By the way! I saw the comment on your last outfit post about how your style has changed in a bad way and yadda yadda... I really hope you don't take that to heart, because I truly love your style - and even if I didn't, you should really be dressing for you and wearing what you like <3

I adore this outfit! I am a sucker for anything with stripes and you're right, when you don't really know what to wear, go for stripes. There's not such thing as too much stripes in ones closet ;)
Hope you're having a great time in Phily!

Good luck in Philly. If you are going to be here Friday night there is something called First Fridays in Old City (a neighborhood in Philadelphia) that is when many openings occur at galleries, shops stay open late and there is a ton of great people out and about. Usually around 2nd and 3rd north of Market Street! I try to go every month and its a blast!

Oh I love this outfit (in fact I pretty much would wear all of your outfits if I could!). The hat is adorable and those shoes are fab too! Though I have to say that my favourite is your red lipstick. It looks amazing against your dark hair!

Hope you have a wonderful time in Philly!

A person dependent on somebody else for everything from potatoes to opinions may declare that he is ...a free person, and his government may issue a certificate granting him his freedom, but he will not be free. He is that variety of specialist known as a CONSUMER, which means that he is the abject dependent of PRODUCERS. How can he be free if he can do nothing for himself? What is the First Amendment to him whose mouth is stuck to the tit of the “affluent society”? Men are free precisely to the extent that they are equal to their own needs. The most able are the most free.
