Happy Sunday, and even better happy Oscar's day! I am so excited to watch it tonight. It is my favorite award show and the only one that I genuinely care about. Some friends are coming over for a mini-Oscars party, yay. This outfit is quite simple, which is actually what I have been craving after the months of layering. As fun as layering is, sometimes it is nice to just throw on a top and run out the door. The flats are also super comfortable. I thrifted them a few months ago, and I cannot wait to wear them with socks and cute skirts/dresses this summer!
Hope everyone is have a lovely weekend, and hopefully a lazy Oscar's Sunday.
Happy, happy Friday! I am so happy that the weekend has arrived. A day full of #FF tweets, my favorite coffee blend at my favorite coffee shop, and no school/work. I am particular excited about this Friday, because this week has been quite stressful academically. Anyways- hooray for the weekend!
This skirt is one of my absolute favorites. I found it at the thrift store last year where it originally came down to my ankles. I hemmed it to this short but sweet length and wear it all the time now. It is so crazy how clothing can be so easily transformed.
I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! Relax and have fun. Today I leave you all with this feature from Mama's A RollingStone about street style. It is such a neat online magazine, and I feel honored
I did not want to show my face today, because my eyes are so red due to allergies! I have been wearing glasses, yet they are not helping one bit. Anyways, for todays post I am going to share with you all my playlist of the week. Making on-the-go playlists/mix cds is a past-time of mine. If I could make a mix cd for each and every one of you I absolutely woudl! Here is what I have been listening to lately:

Before I go any further, let us take a moment and fully understand that it is STILL FEBRUARY. Yes, I am a fanof sunshine and warmth, but I live where I do because Iexpect to have a full-on winter that lasts until at least early March. So winter, please do not leave me yet. I still have tons of sweaters that have not gotten proper exposure to the world.
On the bright side, I was able to wear the 'Flashes of Style' dress that Modcloth so generously named after my blog! It is definitely one of the coolest things that has happenedto me since I have been a blogger. I just love the criss-cross detail and the dots/floral print combination instantly won my heart over. It will absolutely be my turn to dress this Spring. Okay, off I go to study for my biology test this afternoon. School is consuming my life right now, but these next few days I finally have a lovely break. I cannot wait to catch up on all of your wonderful blogs! xx
PS- I was featured on Sarah Loves wonderful blog! She has amazing style and is such a talented artist. Be sure to check her out.
First of all, this is one of my new favorite outfits ever! It is so comfy, and I feel so feminine in it even though it is not a dress. Which is usually tough for me. I basically cannot take this soft peter pan collar off!
Okay onto the bigger news. Below is my first vlog ever. Is it vlog or v-log? I don't even know. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it! It's obvious that I was a little nervous to make it, but I think it turned out okay. I was not able to answer all of the questions, because I only answered a few and the video is already almost ten minutes! I really did not want to bore you all, so I will answer the other questions in writing in my next post. Enjoy!
PS- Check out my SHOP! Lots of new spring-inspired items. wearing: vintage levi's top via Grey Dog Vintage Boutique, James Jeans skinny jeans, Courtesy of James jeans; Silence & Noise Cardigan; Kimchi Blue bag; Topshop brogues; Sunglasses courtesy of 80's purple collection
By now, all of you fashionista's have most likely already stalked style.com and are thoroughly informed about the new styles from NWFW! The A/W shows brought us a lot of lovely things, and my favorites included Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Bodkin, and Rodarte. Because it would simply be wrong to not dedicate an entire post about fashion week, I have composed this little snippet of my favorite NWFW street style photos! These ladies have layered immaculately and have left me craving mixed prints, new lengths, and surprisingly flats and pig tails.
Happy mid-week, everyone! I am so excited to share with you all that I was featured on WWW's Style Stalker for February. It is really crazy, because even before I started seriously blogging I had aspired to be on their Style Stalker feature. So yay and thank you so much WWW for featuring me. Also, thank you so much for all of the support I continue to receive on this blog. I appreciate each and every single one of you and the kind words I hear from you all. Anyways, the outfit I am wearing today is a little similar to the outfit in the feature, except the detail on the shirt is a little different. I just had to purchase the blouse because of the peter-pan collar and ruffle detail. SO- I will be selling the old peachy pink top in my shop very soon. Stay posted!
Oh and I am preparing for my vlog, so if you have any more Q & A's for me, ask away.
Look at me! No tights, and bare legs. Can you believe that after those two crazy snow storms I am able to wear this spring-like dress? I just recieved it in the mail from my sponsor, Paint A Dress' Etsy shop this afternoon. I'm feeling quite festive all of a sudden and I am going to wear it tonight for my and my boyfriends Valentines adventure. I am obsessed with the details on this dress. The white buttons are so beautiful, and the roses are just perfect. Of course I had to do a detail shot.
Okay, so I am finally mustering up the courage to do a VLOG. But I need your help! To save me from rambling and getting awkward, I am going to do a Q & A vlog! So.... game on. Ask me anything.
I will most likely make the post in the next few days or so. Oh! And of course my NYFW favorites re-cap. Hope you all are having a fabulous Monday and Happy Valentines day!
